How long should I turn on UTH for my gecko

hi guys i am new to this heat fact for my gecko. I learn that gecko need belly heat for helps their digestion process . well so I have brought heat mat which is a china made brand. I place the unit which take area about half area of under tank. I have place hide over area that will effect heat, as the brand claim this unit can provide constant heat about 30c +-5c. I have place them for my gecko last night, it turn out that all of my gecko which is useually hide in thir hires . com out of their place . My giant clam on his hide and stay there . I want to know is this normal? . I will measure the real temperature today and will post for you guys to know but in the mean while do I need to set timer for UTH 12 hr turn ob as real nature or I just turn them on for 24/7. also can anyone please tell me about the sign of heat stress in gecko please

You will want to leave the UTH on 24/7....needs to be anywhere between 90-98 degrees F where the heat mat is.

Yes, the temperature should be measured on the glass, right above the UTH to mke sure its maintaining a constant temperature.

The temperature is about 33 C degree which is 90 F degree guys
