How long to wait before helping with shed

Hello, new owner here and I see that my little guy has started shedding this morning and he's got a ways to go. I was wondering how long I should give him to complete his shed on his own before I consider assisting him?

well if hes only just looking greyish then leave hom to do it on his own. you'll know if he needs help. because they can usualy get most of it off. just wait until he's not even trying anymore. should be within a day. then check mainly his toes and the tip of his tails and his head.
but they willl look grey and pale for a day or so befroe shedding.
