How long will mealworms live in the fridge before turning into the beatle stage?

My question is because I want to order as much as I can because that way ill save on shipping.

a really really long time, take them out once a week to warm up and eat for a few hours and they will last for months.

*BUT* Mealies are to be refrigerated at 40-45 and most refrigerators are set closer to 38, food spoils pretty fast at 40 and above so check your fridge first. Moisture can also kill them and that can build up in your container in the fridge.

I lost 10,000 mealies by putting them in my fridge which is set at 36.

So I would try a handful in your fridge first and make sure the will last in yours.
