How many hides?

I have the temperature figured out....finally Currently, I have 2 hides. One on the warm side and one and the cool side. Should I put damp moss in one of them? Or should I use damp paper towel? If so, which one?

i use damp paper towels, i tried moss but it makes a mess.

does the wet paper towel go in the warm or cool hide?

Neither. It goes in it's own hide, which should be partially on the hot side to let it warm up to create humidity in it. It's for aiding in shedding, and they can also get water from the condensation build up.

OK. Does the paper towel cover the entire floor of the "middle" hide?

Yeah. Just put in some paper towel, keep it moist, and put in fresh paper towel every other day.
