How many mealies are you feeding? And supers are they ok?

I haven't seen too many people feeding their guys supers, but now I'm starting to see more and more. I feed my bearded dragon the big ones. Just wondering what's ok?

I was feeding Beau last night and gave him 10 mealies and he still looked hungry. I don't want to over feed him. How do I know how much is too much? He's three years old and four months.

Thanks so much guys!

My baby leopards are around 3 weeks old when I start introducing smaller supers to them. Feeding adults 2 or 3 huge 2.5 inch supers every other day is perfect.....although you probably want to rotate feeders every week or so to keep a balanced diet and keep the gecko from becoming a fussy eater.

I feed a set amount 3 of wax worms to my breeding female. And then feed all the mealies she wants and coat them 3x a week in RepCal. My male who is HUGE gets fed a set amount of mealies and 0 wax worms and 3x a week in supplement RepCal. It depends, if your gecko is looking overweight feed less. If its a breeding female or male feed as much as it wants. Also remember to coat their food in a calcium supplement.
Hope that helped

Are you guys giving them the repcal with d3?

So, he's not a breeder... How much should I be feeding him? Can I give him as many as he wants? OR do I have to limit them, because I stopped last night and he still looked hungry. I'm not a big fan of crickets so I'd love to feed him mealies and supers (the big ones... but they look as big as him!) if that's ok. And feed crickets every once in awhile.

I haven't weighted him yet. Could you tell me how I know if he's over weight? I've heard 50grams?

I know, but can I feed him more than that? Like I said after I was done he was asking for more. As in, how do I know if I'm over feeding him.

lol. um normal size? (He's 3 years) I'd have to measure him. He's not under weight or anything. I was just saying I don't want to over feed him. But he looked hungry, and I felt bad. lol

So it would be bad if I gave him as many mealies as he wanted? I'm fine just feeding mealies if supers are too fatting. I'm just wondering how I know if I'm over feeding him. As in you're not suppose to feed them as many as they want?

Up to 10 mealies every other day would be enough. I know some people that feed much more. But 10 is great. Or 5 a day.

Our adult males get 3 supers every other day. Sometimes when they see me feeding others they will beg but they only get one unless they didn't have their 3 the day before. Sometimes they just come out to have a little head rub :)

Ok I'll just stick to the five a day then. He seems like a big eater... I just don't want to hurt him by overfeeding. And I'm not sure how much is too much

So I can feed him 3 supers every other day to mix it up (the big ones)? They look so big! Just wanted to check to make sure
