How many mealworms per day?

So my new friend is acclimating well to his new home. He's pretty much spending most of his time alternating between the warm-moist hide and the cool hide.

He's also eating well. He ate 2 mealworms last night and 3 tonight. All I did was drop them one by one in front of the hide and his little head came out almost immediately and gobbled them up. With the 4th mealworm he just stared at it and so I took that as he's finished.

From what I've read Leos are pretty good at self regulating how much food they should eat....is that correct? I should let him eat until he stops eating?

If he's still growing and not overweight, let him eat as much as he wants.:)

My little piggy is pretty bright too.....he's already caught on to it's feeding time every night when I open the cage. He immediately sticks his head out of the hide, waits for me to drop the mealworm in front of him, and he gobbles it up. When he's finished he retreats back into the hide.

He's a juvenile and the first night with me he ate 3, then 4 the next night and now he's settling on 5-6 per day (medium sized) meal worms. Does that sound about right?

My little hatchlings usually start by only eating a few a day. By the time they're a month old, they're usually eating 8-16 a day. Hope that helps.
