Hi all, I'm new here (haha as if thats not obvious) I've had a leopard gecko for five years now and I'm looking into getting another one (or two maybe) I'm doing work placement at a petstore and they had two terrariums for sale. I bought the larger one and its this one -> http://allthingsreptile.com/images/246_D_2955.jpg the dimensions are 24x18x24. I paid 50$ + taxes for it and its in perfect shape. The reason it was so cheap was because it was a floor model and they didnt have a box for it. Anyways I was wondering how many leos I could keep comfortably in it? Thank you!

I would say in something that floor dimensions measured 24x18, that you could comfortably house 3-4 leopard geckos. I would recommend just 3. So if you have 1 and are planning on getting 2 more they could fit. I would recommend a quarantine period with the new leos though. Also you want to make sure that you will be able to offer each of them their own enclosures, just incase there is cage mate aggression. So my main suggestion would be if you can’t house 3 leopard gecko separately, don’t buy the other two. Although it is pretty likely that they get along, for the most part.

I've got a tank setup for my current leo right now so if they dont get along they can be seperated. And the new gecko will definetly be quarantined. Since I dont have room to house three geckos seperately I'll just be getting one, its not worth the risk in my opinion. Thank you!

That is a heck of a deal on the tank! Those go for about $140 around here!

What you could do is just get them one at time. Once you know the first one is has been quarantined, and then introduced and getting along well in the newer cage..you would have the second cage to quarantine a 3rd one.

That's a good idea. For some reason I never thought of that hehe. I was talking to a guy who's got two babies for sale so I think I'm going to check out the parents then maybe buy one. Thanks for the advice :]
