How many?

so i got a 29 gallon, think thats what it is. its 30x12x18...so any suggestions on what to put in? was thinking of a species only oddball or chichlid tank. and of cichlids how many afircan cichlids would you figure?

If you want to do africans, tanganyikans would probably be your best bet, its a bit small for mbuna/haps. With a 29 gallon, i'd do a species only shelldweller set up, (a trio of lamp. brevis or ocellatus, a group of lamp. multifaciatus would look cool.) If youre not into shelldwellers, a pair of the Julidochromis species or Neolamp. brichardi would do well in there too. All of these species are easy to breed too, if you want to try your hand at that.

You can have up to 2-4 German blue rams (gbr)

You can also add some tetra as well.

If you need oddballs get some dwarf puffers. They require 5 gallon each, will do better as one male and two females.
