How much food is too much?

Today, I fed Stripes then I put a bowl of mealies in his cage for the night. I came back to check on him 1/2 an hour later and he had finished almost all the mealies. Is it good that he eats a lot so that he grows bigger or is it bad? He ate 19 mealies altogether. He normally eats 12-13. SO should I continue to feed him like this so he will get bigger and gain weight or should I just leave a bowl of mealies inside his cage?

I personally dont leave a bowl of mealies in the tank. I feed him every other day and he usually eats 5-8 giant mealies. He's not an everyday eating kind of guy

they will not eat more than they should... and by chance if they do, they will reguritate and learn to not eat that much again... sounds silly but its true... so i say let em have em... if hes eating alot, you may wish to try supers too
