We've been feeding our guys every other day, and for the most part just about all do pretty good save for a few who are picky eatters.

What are your feeding schedules like? Every other day? Every few days?

Just curious as to what everyone else is doing with their geckos.

I make sure they have mealworms in a bowl all the time and they eat when theyre hungry. Thats been working for me.

I feed my babies and the ones that need it every day and I feed my larger ones every three days. I do the meal worm thing for a few of them but mostly feed roaches.

I refill babies mealworm dishes everyday.
Adults get there mealworms/superworm dishes refilled Monday, Wednesday, Friday.

Babies that eat crickets/roaches get fed everyday (5-7prey items, depends how fats they eat).
Adults get fed Monday, Wednesday, Friday. (Adults get 10 crickets or 1 large roach) Before breeding season they get fed everyday as much as they want and whatever they want. During the breeding season they get fed every other day.

Geckos that eat crickets and roaches have a more hectic feeding schedule.

Yeah, it's been getting a little hectic here too with 30+ trying to figure out a better schedule for them.

I fill up there feeding bowl every other day but I'm gonna start feeding Dubias. Just curious, how many Dubias do you feed and how often?

All depends what you are feeding. Adult geckos will eat 1-2 Male Dubia Every other day or so. I always feed 1 male roach to the females that eat them 3 times a week. But im feeding fat tail geckos which are a lot smaller than some leos..(my largest breeder is 60 grams)...

When feeding smaller geckos, you will obviously be feeding smaller roaches so a couple of smaller roaches are fed.

As the gecko grows, they require larger roaches, which will then result in less roaches per feeding session..

Thanks.. you mentioned male dubia, is there a difference when feeding the genders of dubia?

There is no difference when it comes to feeding genders of B. Dubia. Females generally get a bit larger than males.

Males are usually the one that get fed to the larger reptiles that eat roaches because most people will keep females and add them to the colony.

More Females = More Production

you dont need many males to keep a colony going at full production rate.
