its clutchmate hatched this morning

the first one i didnt take with flash but they are the same shade of color. it seems to have a different pattern than the other. The genes behind these 2 are Dad: Jungle Giant Albino...

The mother is a Tangerine Albino but i dont have a pic for her. What morph would these 2 hatchlings be and are they het for anything? thanks

Congratulations! You are most likely going to have some lovely tangerine albinos! If the jungle gene is recessive, they technically could be 'het' for jungle. (I hope this doesn't start a huge, heated discussion, lol!)

i hope it doesnt either but im just curious about the giant gene. are the hatchlings fully het, partial het, or does it just vary?

well. sad to say the second hatchling passed away this morning. It was born sunday and looks very healthy as you can see in the pics before. What could have caused this? Yesterday it would not open its eyed. it was very unresponsive, it looked weak and just layed there. it would move like it hicupped every once in a while. also it layed there with a trail of greenish runny poop. worst thing i could think of is crypto, but i dont think so. Can crypto just show up in hatchlings? it was 2 days old.

my mistake. i left it in the enclosure just incase, and it is still alive. I dont know if this maybe the last fight for it. it is moving but very slowly and weakly. i dont know what i can do to try to help it. i've been around leopard geckos for 5 years and never had a fatality. i looked at its stomach and it has some feces by its vent. you can see some black in its stomach but i think its because its a hatchling and they look transparent sometimes, especially albino. like i said i dont think its crypto because i heard it may take up to a year for some to show symptoms. this one is only 3 days old today. none of my collection is infected and i have purchased all m geckos and feeders from repubable businesses. please some words on what you think..

When you breed a giant to a normal you should get half giants and half normal sized leopard geckos. Sorry, I don't know anything to help you with your hatchling.
