Yeah I completely agree sometimes it takes a few times.

nice, so if we can't catch them on the private moment, we can wait till the first clunch, and then separate them. It's no need to put them together after that?

YOu could wait till you notice the female becoming gravid, then sepertate them. They will not need to breed again, since the females store sperm.

i know they store sperm, but last year i had a female that only layed 2 clunches, she stop laying when i took off the male.
