it is my first leo an i got it last week i dont know what sex it is or how old it is but it is 3in lond. o and i need to know how often they shed?

I think it's about 2 mos. old.
How much it sheds depends on how quickly it grows, which depends on how often you feed it and how well you supplement it. Some young geckos shed every 2-3 weeks during growth spurts.
A gecko that size should be fed closer to every other day, you could even feed everyday slightly smaller amounts (5-7 bugs everyday versus 7-10 every other day). But it depends on the leo, some readily eat that much, others just won't.
Make sure they have a wet hide and some belly heat to help them digest.
