How to change them over?

A few of mine only eat mealworms while they all love crickets when I was doing both. For the past three weeks I have done nothing but mealworms and been checking weights just to make sure cause I check my bowls everyday and sometimes notice a difference while others take a few days to empty out their bowls. However, two of my younger leos are looking a bit thinner and have dropped a couple of grams (Like 4 grams tops) So tonight I happend to try and hand feed a few mealies...nothing, but had a few crickets left and tried that and out of my hand in two seconds. I don't want them hungry cause of my choice of what I to feed them. So, how do you all do it? or just go back to both?

Thanks,

Alanna

Same thing happen to me Alanna. I tried switching over to mealies and some of my geckos did not care for them at all. I guess they like the excitement of chasing down their food. So after a couple of attempts i just reverted back to crickets. All are eating and doing fine. Hopefully someone could respond on how they got all their geckos to eat mealies.

Try small superworms because they move faster. Sometimes that gets them transitioned over to "worms" and you can then get them on mealworms from there.

I have switched a few of mine, but unfortunately some are just going to have to eat crickets or die. My enigma male isn't fond of mealworms, but does eat them. He much prefers crickets.
