How to 'clean house'

I'm wondering how often the glass terrarium for my gargoyle gecko needs to be cleaned? I have sphagnum moss in the bottom -- how often should that be replaced? And does the whole thing have to be sterilized or anything, or just wiped out? Thanks!

I spot clean the poo out of my viv daily. I wipe it out once a week and once a month I try and clean it completely. I am not sure about the moss. I use bed-a-beast on my adult male. He is a hand feeder and refuses to hunt so theres no chance of him eating the bedding.
