How to clean the tank?

I'm wondering how often the glass terrarium for my gargoyle gecko needs to be cleaned? I have sphagnum moss in the bottom -- how often should that be replaced? And does the whole thing have to be sterilized or anything, or just wiped out? I'm reading alot lately about cleaning with bleach and killing bacteria, etc -- how would you go about cleaning things like the wooden branch he climbs on? Thanks!

General Care and husbandry

While a tank set up is under Housing, the cleaning of the tank is under General Care and Husbandry.

There are several very good posts there.

However, it looks like the posts relate to Leopard Geckos but, I think that you can do two things.

One is to use the Leopard Geckos post and modifiy it to your situtation and
Two is to put a post in there about house cleaning for your specific Gecko.

(I think that you should clean up the areas where the Gecko poos daily or every other day. I think that the moss should be changed monthy. I think that the wooden branch should be cleaned monthy. As for how to clean up or with what to clean up, check out the General Care forum. I have seen some stuff in there and it seems that a bleach or vinegar solution is used to clean the branches and the inside of the tank. But, you have to check it out first.)
