I have a male Patternless full grown BEAUTIFUL boy. One of the best examples of Patternless I've ever seen. Now I'm looking for a female to go with my male. I have seen pics of Patternless snows. My question is would getting a Mack Snow female allow me produce Patternless snows? For some reason it seems too simple lol but maybe it is?

Any advice would help!

Hi,

a Mack Snow female would definitely work, but you just would get normal het Patternless and Mack Snow het Patternless. The best you could do is getting a Mack het Patternless female or even better a Super Snow het Patternless female. This would give you some Mack Patternless offspring.
When you just get a Mack Snow female you would have to wait another season until you can get your Mack Snow Patternless (because you had to mate the F1- generation with each other - so you need another year).

You will need a pattenless/het.patternless snow/super snow to be able to produce a patternless snow in the first generation. To produce patternless super snows you will have to wait at least to the second generation. These are some of the results you would get with different crosses you may be interested in (you must superimpose the percentages that surpase the 100%, I'm not calculating it exactly because it would be difficult and inaccurate):

- Patternless x Super Mack Snow = 100% Mack snow het.patternless
- Patternless x Mack Snow = 50% Mack, 50% Normal, 100% het.patternless
- Patternless x Super Mack Snow het.patternless = 100% Mack snow, 50% patternless, 50% het.patternless
- Patternless x Mack Snow het.patternless = 50% Mack, 50% Normal, 50% patternless, 50% het.patternless

Even so, I don't think that patternless x Mack snow is a very interesting cross, they should look very similar to blizzards. does anybody have a pic of adult patternless snows and supers?

So basiclly I obtain a female mack snow breed her to my male patternless... then, I'll get a mack snow het patternless female. Next season I'll breed her back to her father and they should produce Patternless macks... Does this sound like a good plan??:main_huh:

You can do that, but it'd be a lot faster just get female Mack Snows het Patternless. The prices for hets are so low you'd might as well. Here's three places you can get them, but you may have to email them if they have none on their available pages. Lizard Lair, Geckos Etc., and Alex Hue Reptiles.

Good luck on your project!
