i have a very small gecko that won't eat meal worms. I left 6 in the dish overnight and none were touched. as soon as i put crickets in the cage they were eaten. i don't want to let the gecko starve a couple of days to get him to eat meal worms. any advice on how to switch geckos from a cricket diet to meal worms?

If hes really young, feed him what he will eat for now. As babies they do not have enough fat reserves, so you shouldnt starve them. Try to put a mealworm in front of him, or feed him by hand. Once he eats them he may realize its food and eat more. He might not even know there is food in the bowl. It took me almost 2 months to finally get mine to realize they were in the dish. I had to almost make a path from my leo to the mealie dish using mealworms.

Our first guy wouldn't eat the mealies unless we dropped them in front of him. It took almost a year before he'd eat out of his dish. You could try putting some enticing food into the dish with the mealies. This will convince the crickets to hang there. With any luck your guy will strike a mealie by accident & realize, hey these things taste good.
