Hello, I have read many articles about how to interact with a new Leo. I know to wait a week and all. However, my question is, how do I interact with him without stressing him out if he never comes out of his hide? I can't show him my hand is not a threat if he can't see it you know? He can see me in his wRm hide but when he is in his cool hide there is not a way for him to see me so I don't know what to do :/ I feel like forcing him out of his hide would be quite stressful.

Here is my gecko :) I haven't settled on a name yet.

I've learned it takes time, he will come out of his hide eventually. You could also coax him out with food like a meal worm or wax worm put it in front of your hand then on your hand in time. He will associate your hand with food. Good luck hes a good looking gecko, love tangs!

What I do is get the gecko out carefully from the hide and then try to handle it. Some may like to be handled from the start and some may start running trying to get away from you. The key is to be persistent with the handling and hold them at least 15 - 20 minutes each day until they are tame. I hope you and your gecko have a happy life together:)
