I am looking into breeding some dubias for my geckos and have my mind set on a great rack with plastic tubs, it seems to be the perfect set up for roaches and my stock of mealies.

I just wonder how you can keep the heat up in plastic bins. Since the UTH i have is only for glass tanks I am reluctant to stick it on plastic. IS there no similar problem with heat tape or cables?

The rack i saw has two deep drawers (basically tubs) and two smaller drawers above it, all plastic in a plastic framework. The whole thing is about 32" high.

Any info that can be bestowed upon me will be greatly appreciated!

I have a UTH on plastic right now. It is ok as long a temps don't get over 95 degrees. But I would use heat tape controlled with a thermostat. It is only like 2-3 dollars a foot, compared to 20 dollars for a UTH. I am also planning on building a rack tomorrow.
