I have two leopard geckos, a male and a female and I would like to breed them.
How can I introduce them to each other? Can I just put them together?
Any suggestion?
Yes, I have everything ready! I also read a lot about temperatures and sex.
What I don't understand is how to introduce them...
I had many turtles and with them it's easy...male and female together, they do their business and happy days, Same with the dendrobates.
Do I need to put them together in a new environment? Do I need to put the female in the male or vice versa?
I tried to put them together once, for like 5 minute, the male shook his tail and tired but the female wasn't happy and gave him a bite. So I stopped the fiesta and separate them.
I don't know....
moving them both to new setup just to get your female pregnant would only stress them both. If female refuses male and even bites him, she is not ready yet. Introducing should be done after end of winter period, when you raises temperature step by step, I have introduced mine when there was about 25 C (77 F) and they were just OK. Maybe she is not old & big enough, female should have at last 45g & 1 year or more.
