How to make Dalmatians! ♂ Snow Enigma x ♀ Super Snow

ツ This Cross is designed to make Dalmatians! The possible outcomes are as follows: [Note: Each animal is 50% Het Raptor, so to simply things, so let’s assume they are not het Raptor]

♂ Snow Enigma x ♀ Super Snow



♂ Snow Enigma consists of 2 genes: Mack Snow & Enigma. Both are dominant traits, so it’s genotype can be written as “SsGg”. ♀ Super Snow is the homozygous dominant form of the Mack Snow gene, and can be written as “SS”.

Genotype: ♂ SsGg x ♀ SS

Because there are 2 hybrids (heterozygous traits), we know there will be 4 possible outcomes (2^2 = 2*2 = 4).

Possible Gametes: ♂ SG, Sg, sG, and sg x ♀ S

Possible outcomes:

SSG - Super Snow Enigma, AKA: Dalmatian



SSg - Super Snow



SsG - Snow Enigma



Ssg - Snow



Thus, ¼ or 25% will be Dalmatian
¼ or 25% will be Super Snow
¼ or 25% will be Snow Enigma
¼ or 25% will be Snow

The number of possible outcomes double with each additional hybrid. So, if both parents were also Het for Raptor, then there would be 6 total hybrids and 64 possible outcomes! ツ
