Ok so i have a few easy questions:
1:What type of marker should i mark eggs with?(permanent seems waaaaay to toxic)
2:If i candle eggs they should be pink ish and have veins forming right?
3:how can you tell right on the spot if eggs are fertile or not without candling?
4:a UTH pad is good for incubating eggs but what if temps are going too high or low?

1. Sharpie. Not sure if it's toxic, but thousands of eggs have hatched with sharpie ink on them.
2. At first the eggs are yellow for about a week. Then you will start to see veins.
3. I don't know of a way.
4. Is the UTH pad in a cooler or Styrofoam box? Do you have a thermostat for it? If you are referring to a Tupperware container right on a UTH then I would suggest at least a cheap incubator. The temp will get way too hight right on the UTH and boil your egg.

Did you get some eggs? Good luck with them if you did!

umm no im just following a few simple steps:get a rubbermaid or a small tank(glass) and place the UTH at the bottom of it,perlite etc. inside and eggs.

Your hatch rate with this method is going to be very low and your chances of defects are greater. It is not a very good way to incubate your eggs. I would not recomend it. Besides A hovabator is only $40.

If you aren't willing to put $40 of your savings into a proper incubator I do not believe you should be even thinking about breeding Geckos. My girlfriend and I have put over $1000 into our geckos to get them breeding ready, so honestly if you aren't willing to dish out $40 you shouldn't breed these amazing creatures.

Just a personal opinion.
