I am currently selling two SHTCTs, and I'm a little nervous about shipping. I have never shipped before so I have no idea what to do. How do I calculate the shipping rate? What shipping service should I use? How do I set the package up for shipping? Sorry for all of the questions, but have no idea how to ship a gecko. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

What services do you guys use? Is UPS next day air a good one to use? Where do I get a box and heat pack? How do I know that I even need a heat pack? Is it okay for me to ship them in tupperware containers with holes(I'm only selling 2)? Do I just drop them off at UPS or do I need to call ahead? Sorry again for all of the questions.

UPS Next Day Air is the service to use. I get my boxes and heat packs from www.lllreptile.com

I use a heat pack if the temps are below 65 degrees. I don't ship if it is below 40 degrees. I just drop them at the big ups hub in my area. You may have to call to find the right one in your area.

I get UPS to come pick them up -- free of charge. The UPS driver is great, has been a friend of the family for years now, so he always comes and gets them later in the evening.

Does anyone know where to get just one insulated shipping box like they sell on lllreptile.com? The problem I have is that they sell them in bulk so I can't get just one. I checked with UPS to see if they had any boxes or even stickers that would let them know their was a live animal inside so they would be careful. They don't have anything like that. They don't even have insulated boxes. Can anyone help me?

Superior enterprises sells 5 boxes with 3/4" foam for $17.50 - that's the smallest quantity I know of. Cody (Pro Geckos) sells single heat packs. What you should do is buy a gecko and have it shipped to you - then you'll have one box - you might even be able to get the breeder to toss in an unused heat pack, too. ;)

I don't need another gecko though. I'm getting rid of two of mine because of the time and money I need to spend on college. I'd love to have a giant though.

It is probably a good idea to keep your collection small while in school. I guess the 5-pack is the best you'll be able to do, then. Good luck!
