We'll be going up to the NH reptile show to get a new leo next weekend. What is the best way to transport it home? Estimated driving time is less than 2 hours & we can reasonably expect temps to be in the 50-60s. Thanks for your suggestions.

i usually buy the little 3 reptile carriers and put a heat patch for humans on the bottom with a wet papertowel inside. Two hours isn't that bad and you probably won't have to do that. The deli cup should be fine.

Just remember, depending on who you buy from and in general at least for us.. Whatever we buy at shows.. which is few and far between for us.. get a fecal done ASAP to check for parasites because you never know what you'll get at a show..

I'm not so sure you should use a wet paper towel in with the heat pack. The times I have done that has made the container extremely humid and my leo was deffinately unhappy. She spent the whole hour and 15 minutes trying to climb up the side, when she only does that for 20 minutes or so when it is dry.

Thanks everyone. Already have the number of the herpetologist here in town. I'll be trying to sway Gabe over to Jeanne's table since so many of you hold her is such high respect. We've never been to a show, so I'm really excited to check one out.

sorry i may not have been clear enough. I had the heat pack on the outside bottom of the cage.. not in with the paper towel.. i can see where that would cause problems. At the same time I was flying home from AZ during the winter so it was necessary supply some heat.
