How do you use this trick i here ever one talking about this. Do you use a whole PT and just wet it and then ring it out so its just damp? Do you spray it with a plant mister or my case a cleaned out 401 bottle? I have been re-wetting the perlite and its working OK but i dont like to do that i wanna know this trick is done thank you guys (JoHn) :main_thumbsup:

I don't know about any paper towel trick, but if your eggs are drying out burry them 2/3 in the perlite. I've used that method successfully several times.

Do you have to wet it or no? Because im having problems getting time mix right and stuff im weighting it out and it still doesnt seem to be working any ideas. I know its 1 part perlite to .8 water and then i read in my book it says six part perlite to 4 parts water by weight? i have no idea what im doing wrong. Any one have idea for me. i need something better then what im using to hatch these guys in maby some picks would clear this up for me?

I use hatchrite and I love it. Im starting to have a good bit of eggs laid now, I have about 50 in the incubator, so Im starting to go threw the hatchrite bags, i guess it can get expensive, but being a first year breeder i like knowing that messing with the mixtures is 1 less thing for me to worry about messing up:)

Try using vermiculite. I tried perlite with the same result. I have no idea what i was doing wrong but once I switched all was ok. Lots of people use perlite without a problem, but I was not one of them.
