I can't find a thread that will help me install heat cable. I can't seem to find anything online either. I really need some help. I want to build a custom rack, yet I do not know how to install the heat cable. Please help me out.

Heat cable or flexwatt heat tape? Flexwatt needs to be wired up, heat cable (like what you get from Lowes to prevent pipes from freezing) you just put it where you need it in relation to the tubs and plug it into the thermostat.

Im not sure what you are looking for as far as installing it since it just plugs in. Perhaps you want to know how people use it in there racks? Some people zig zag it under a small section of there tubs and the tubs sort of hang in the rack just above it, others use a router to cut into the wood so the heat cable is flush and not in the way of sliding tubs in and out.

Yeah, I need help putting it in the wood. I'm not sure how to do that!
I use flexwatt so I have never use heat cable when building a rack but I did find a video for you on Youtube so you can see how heat cable is ran in a rack. Just copy and paste this in your Youtube search. (Facility: Our Custom Reptile Racks)

Also if you use heat cable make sure you make the routes far enough from the back, I kind of made mine too close to the back of the tubs.
