How's this vitamin/calcium supplement combo...

I've been using the TRex Leopard Gecko Dust ("super" all in one dust, with the vitamins, D3 and calcium) - and that is shake n baked on the mealworms, daily for baby Gek and about every other day or twice a week for my adult leo (female, not a breeder).

In addition, I have the JurassiCal calcium (NO D3) in a seperate dish available at all times.

Is that a good combo? Or should I finish up the bottle of Gecko Dust and get some Reptivite and Reptical instead (I actually just already some ReptiCal, but I didn't know it had d3 until later so I haven't used it yet)?

Also - does the calicum in the dish ever go bad? Or can you just leave it in there as long as you want and just refill it as it gets low?

I replace the calcium in the dish once a week. What you are doing sounds fine although I have enver used those brands before. I use the Rep-Cal brand.

I personally don't like the TRex Leopard Gecko Dust because I've seen heard of a few gout issues with it's phosphorus ratio over long periods of time.

I'd use up the Gecko Dust and try something different.

We use Rep cal and Vionate solely.

Calcium in the food dish should be changed out often because the worms pass feces into it.

We change Calcium in the dish that stays in the enclosure at all times every two weeks or so.

Over time you'll know how much they actually lap up over that time and use that amount so you don't over do it, and waste it..
