Humid Hide Ideas

Our little guy is getting bigger and bigger and is outgrowing his current humid hide (one of those small coconut half shells).

I don't want to use a tupperware container for aesthetic reasons, but I also cannot bring myself to buy a $30 "3-in-1" hide.

What unique solutions have you all come up with that fall between the parameters above?

You could build one out of cement. You may also want to look at BAMA Reptiles. They design naturalistic variaiums. Here is a link. http://www.bamareptiles.com/ I would think that they would have something for you. It may be more than $30 though. Hope i at least helped a little.

Making hides

most hobby shops sell clay that can be formed over a container that is the size you want. no heat required to harden but the clay is not cheap. Here is one rubber maid container that I texture painted along with a PVC pipe tunnel that is texture painted...three sizes of grained wood ones....***with a few tools you can make all kinds on your own..sizes and the number you need.... you can drill out certain soft stone and rock that will be real natural.......Take care. / HJ
