So our temperatures, humidity are all great. Warm side is 92-95, moist hide gets to about 80. Humidity in tank is about 20% and the air temperatures range from 77-79. We didnt have the air temperature correct until a few weeks ago but bought 2 night time blue bulbs that brought the air temp from a cool 70-72 to 77-79. We have a 75 watt on the cool side and a 60 watt on the warm side. We are constantly checking the temperatures and they are great (probe thermometer). We had just the 60 watt on the cool side but it was still only getting temps to around 74-75 so I knew we would need the 75 watt. Since the warm side gets obviously... warmer, I just put the 60 watt over there to get the air temp to the upper 70s as well.
My question is, she has always been in her humid hide the last month or 2. She just LOVES it. While i read that this is all too common, it seems funny to me. She used to love her warm hide when it was 88-92 but people on this forum told us to increase it to 90-95. She seems so much more active during the night time which she did not do much of until we increased the air temps. I'm sure everything is normal and I'm just over thinking it. It's normal for Leo's to just sleep a lot in their humid hides right?! She seems so fast asleep that I know she must love it in there. Just making sure! Thanks...
