Humid hides?

Hey all,

So I've never used a humid hide in all my years of keeping geckos (about 9 years consistently), and am looking into putting on into my tank for my youngest Leo, Thaddeus, as he has some trouble shedding mainly on his nose and feet. He refuses to sit still long enough for me to help him, and I hate stressing him out too much. What are your hides made of/look like? I would love to get some real life hide info, versus using Google!

Thanks all! I look forward to hearing your responses and adding one to my tank in the near future!

Depending on the age of your gecko, if he is a hatchling or a young juvenile it is recommended to use dampened paper towels in your humid hide. Otherwise, I use Eco-Earth (Coconut Fiber) as well in a Tupperware container with a hole cut in it for some of mine. Others have a Exo-Terra Gecko Cave because their tank is in my living room and it looks more natural. Leos love humid hides! You may find him chilling in there even when he isn't in shed. :)
