hi, im just wondering what a good humidity would be for laopard geckos in an incubator? Im hoping that they will be half male half female. My last question is how long can an egg "live" after being laid not in the incubator.

P.S. im worried about them dieing if i am sleeping while they are laid.

I believe you want around an 80-90% humidity, but dont quote me on that. to get a good humidity level, use tupperware dishes with lids, and use vermiculite. add water to the vermiculite, and then get a handful of it out, squeeze all of the water you can out of it, then put that in your dish. push your thumb in the vemiculite so you ave little craters to put the eggs, then put the eggs in there, then put the lid on. then into the incubator they go.

for half male half female, temperature is the deciding factor. 80-82 yields mostly females, 88-90 yields mostly males, and 85 should give you a good mix of males and females.

i wouldnt be to worried about them. my dad said my gecko laid some on a saturday, and i didnt get back until that monday, and they are doing great in the incubator right now (in there for 3 weeks now).
