Hey everyone! I bought a tug snow leo a few months ago and it wound up being a hyper-melanistic gecko, according to a friend. I just need some sort of verification. Thanks in advance XD

Here are some pictures:

I bought it from +++++ for about $25 and one of the workers said was a mack snow.

Prior to my purchase, I noticed something odd though: its blackish-grayish tail.

It looked unique, so I figured, why not? :)

I later found out it was actually a tug snow by a local breeder, given that it used to have dark-spotted bands and pure-white bands when I first bought it.

Months later, its white bands became a darker, grayish black. A friend of mine told me that it most likely had a lot of melanin, which contributed to its darker pigmentation. Then, after a ton of research and Q & A's, I concluded that it is a hyper melanistic leopard gecko.

Additional verification can never hurt though, seeing as how, I'd rather be safe with regard to its type as opposed to "flat-out" wrong.

(Also, I keep referring to the gecko as an "it" because, though I know the leopard gecko is most likely a girl, I would like to wait a whole year before I make a definite conclusion with regard to its sex)
