hypo/snow combination

I have a quick genetics question. If this has already been addressed I apologize. I get confused when combining co-dom. and line bred traits. I have a super snow and if I bred him to a super hypo snow (a.k.a. creamsicle) could I get snow and super snow with super hypo influence? I've never seen a super snow with hypo tangerine traits? (But I'm also pretty new to this). Any help would be great. Thanks.

hmmm..

I think what happens is that...

when breeding a hypo to a mack snow, you can get some yellow/orange coloration. Most of the time it takes several generations to get that great color to come out with the hypo/snow breedings.

when breeding a super snow to a hypo or hypo snow I think you get 50% regular super snow, and 50% of varied mack snow hypo.

I don't know if it is possible for a super snow to have an color, as it has two mutated alleles.

thats just my opinion. but hey, it's totally worth a try!

You would get half 'creamsicles' and half super snow. The homozygous super snow trait does not seem to be hindered by either color or hypo traits. Alex Hue worked on trying to produce super hypo super snows and could only hatch hypo snows and normal super snows.

Since the hypo trait seems to not matter with super snows, to make a patternless super snow, you would have to use blizzard, patternless, or 'patternless stripe' traits.

I did a mack snow hypo(AKA ghost) + super hypo cross.
This is what I got, amck snow hypo at the moment. But can I call her creamsicles even if she will be a super hypo one day?? I thought that was only Jeff-line?

But as allways, breeding a SH to a normal pattern will not giv SH in the first generation. The trait are polygenetic and have to be line bred. What does the parents to your super snow look like?
