Hey, guys, long time no see ;) I moved to a new apartment complex back during the first week of July and I have not had internet service until today due to the lovely folks over there at AT&T.. I finally got my DSL equipment just an hour ago so now I can use my software packages for school.

When I came home from school today I discovered that I had no water. Strange. When the maintenance man swung by to fix a few things he said that there was no water in the building. I figured that they were doing some sort of maintenance on the building so I didn't think much about it...and then I got a letter a few minutes ago saying that the City of Atlanta has turned off water to the entire apartment complex and they do not know when the water will be back on. Wow..thanks, Atlanta!

Lots of other things going on right now but it's good to be back, I missed you guys and checking the forum! Hopefully I'll have some other updates soon. :)

No water!!? Hopefully they will figure out how to get that turned back on soon!

That's cool that you moved to a new complex, I hope you are liking your new place and I hope school is going well for you :)

I feel for you on the internet thing. I have AT&T, and when I moved they had to close my current account, and open a new one. Somehow they opened two new accounts, one with and one without my apartment number. It took calling them every month for 5 months to get the incorrect account closed and credited. In the meantime they kept threatening to send me to collections. Gotta love when being a customer means having to defend your credit rating. Good luck with the water.

Thanks all! Luckily the water is now back on so no worries there.

Angelicka, wow, what an ordeal! I hope everything got resolved okay. It's hard to believe how companies can sometimes treat the people that put the money in their pockets!
