I'm not sure what size mealworm/cricket etc. to feed my 7 1/2" (approx) gecko. She's about a year and 2 months old.
I use medium-small mealworms right now, and occasionally get crickets (the big kind) for variety, but they're a pain because they die so quickly and because of all the chirping and escaping they do.
I thought of getting superworms, but here's my problem- They're HUGE and chew through plastic! What should I put them in, and will she be able to gulp down those giants?

Since I might breed her eventually, I might get waxworms, but....I really don't know. -__-

If she's that large and old, she can EASILY handle fully grown mealworms, large crickets, and even the superworms. When you get crickets, get them before they have the wings (medium)...they'll live a bit longer and won't chirp. Think of waxworms as twinkies...a treat only...and you'll be ok.

Leos can eat anything that is 3/4 the size of their head! Sometimes you will think that your leo can't handle something because its so big, but if your leo is full grown (which it sounds like it is, or if not it's pretty close) she should be able to handle just about anything that they sell for leos to eat. :)

I keep my superworms in a plastic rubbermade drawer and have not had a problem with them chewing it. just make sure they always have food.

Okay, thanks ^^
I'll get them at this little pet store at Serramonte since I hate petco, even though it's a further drive.
-stabs it- do you know how sad looking those poor geckos are there? Poor things. I should start a rally there. xD
