1. I have 3 leopard geckos, I feed them live meal worms and I coat the mealworms in Repashy Superfoods Leopard Gecko Calcium Plus. I have read that you are supposed to also have a small bowl of clcium in the tank with them, what calcium is the best to have sitting out for them?

2. I am getting, this week, 10 baby geckos and I would like to know what to feed these babies. I have the mini mealworms, are those fine to feed the babies?

3. I recieved more than a week ago 2 juvenile leopard geckos, the male shed the week I got him and it looks as though the female will shed soon, neither one of them will eat. I try to feed them the mini mealworms and they will not eat it has been almost 2 weeks now. I know that when they are shedding or about to shed they usually will not eat, but they are starting to worry me because I would like them to eat. I have not tried crickets yet.

Thank you for your taking the time to see if you could help me answer my questions.

As far as calcium to leave out- I use just plain calcium, no other additives. Usually the calcium with D3, etc should only be used once a week/every two weeks. They can overload on that stuff pretty quickly.
Mini mealies is usually what I fed all of my babies/ juvies. I also offered them pin sized crickets to let them hunt for themselves as well.
If the leos that you got two weeks ago arent eating, I would give them a little more time. It sounds like they could be stressed. Usually when I get a new leo in, I leave it alone completely for the first two weeks. I will put food in there with them, but I wont touch them or do anything to stress them out. It can take awhile for them to settle in. Also, the person that had them before you may have fed them something completely different, so they may not be used to eating just mealies. I would offer crickets as well.

Ok this part worried me a little :( Atm i have a mix in my calcium dishes of about 60% pure calcium and 40% calcium with D3 all mixed up in the same dish. They are fine with just eating the pure stuff but i have problems when it comes to feeding them the vitamin powder because it smells cheesy and some of them will refuse food if it only has that on it.

Do you think my mixture is safe?

Are there any symptoms i should look out for that are caused by having too much vitamins?

When i dust their food it is just with the pure stuff so the only vitamins they get really are from the dishes

Has anybody heard of a leo overdosing on D3 or any other vitamin? Just curious, I'm not trying to be inflammatory.

I dust with Repashy Superfoods every other feeding and have had no issues. I've also left it in with some pure calcium in their tubs.

I dust with the same powder you do and leave plain calcium with no D3 in the tank at all times.

My 2 juvies, one is 3 months old and the other is 4 months old (I got them at 1 month/8 grams and 2 months/15 grams) I have fed them large mealworms since the day I got them. My 3 month old has been eating regular superworms since she was 2 months old, the older one refuses superworms.

You might try larger mealworms or crickets, that might entice them to eat the larger, moving prey.

Also, what are your temps? Low temps can lower appetite.

Good luck!!
