i might just stop buying things online completely

so i bought an xbox 360 from a guy on ioffer.com that was modified to play burnt games and cd's. the only problem was, once it got to me it wasn't working right so i ended up having to send it back for him to fix/replace. well that was at the beginning of the month and since 9/6 i haven't heard anything from him. supposedly the new one was ready to ship at that point and it's still not here. he's no longer a registered user on ioffer now either.
i'm really hoping that it's just a case of something coming up with him that he hasn't been able to send it out and he's not just trying to screw me over. i mean if he was gonna scam me wouldn't it make more sense just to not send the thing in the first place?
also i bought $85 worth of stuff on ebay for the xbox on th 8th and it's not here yet either. maybe hurricane ike's screwing everything up, who knows, but i'm starting to get frustrated.

the xbox stuff should be straightened out now, but i just got legitimately scammed buying tickets for the steelers/ravens monday night game by some guy in london.
i found his listing on the pittsburgh craigslist and agreed to buy the tickets and pay thru western union because he offered to go thru squaretrade to protect my money in case something wasn't right. the only problem was that he apparently created a fake squaretrade email address and sent me an invoice himself. i sent the money and western union sent me an email saying he picked it up, so i asked him about it and he said he was sending the tickets fedex overnight and he'd email me with the tracking number as soon as he shipped them. since then i've heard nothing from him despite numerous emails to him and his made up squaretrade email.

i filed this one with the ic3 site, but i'm not too optimistic i'll get my money back. hopefully they'll at least catch the guy, but it sucks not knowing if i'll see my money again. and for one final kick in the balls, i don't get to go to the steelers game. this sucks.

and now, because of this justine doesn't trust me to buy anything online at all, not even through paypal. she says i can only buy stuff online if it's through like walmart.com or something. i don't blame her though i guess. i feel like a complete idiot over this ticket scam.
