So I'm still pretty new to this so I didn't know where to post it. I have two Leo's, both females I think one won't sit still for me to see. I got them at the same time and they are still young in a 10 gallon tank maybe a bit bigger. I have an albino something I don't know the genetics and Moros very well. The albino was the runt of the bunch when I got her. The other one has gotten bigger than the albino and the other day I saw her snap at the albinos tail. What could be causing this? Was she just hungry or should they be seperated? Help please I don't want one of them getting sick

It could be bullying or it could be mating if one is a male. Either way, it isn't good. If it is definitely only at feeding time, you can feed them separately. If it is all the time, it is extreme bullying, and they need to separated full time. If one bites the other tail, latches on, and then starts twerkin those hips, separate them IMMEDIATELY because the twerker is a BOY. ;)

Thanks! I've only seen it at feeding time so hopefully it's just she sees the albinos tail as a worm. I'll feed them seperatly from now on..

Someone else recently suggested that they thought the same thing. Generally, someone responded that the Leo would have to have horrible vision to make that mistake. If there is biting, it is probably bullying or mating....hopefully separate feeding might help. :)

Definetely seperate them, it will only get worse for the bullied one. The bullied one needs their own enclosure, free of the scent of any other animal. If you were to move the dominant leo and leave the bullied leo in that enclosure the dominants scents will still be all over it and it will never settle. Without doubt seperate friend.

So recently they have not been fighting but instead cuddling in their warm hide haha I think she just got over excited getting food.. The albino finally sat still long enough for me to tell she's for sure a female. Thanks for the input and if it happens again I will for surely separate them.
