Im not sure if all of you know but I worked quite a bit as a sub teacher and a sub lunch server at Cody's school last fall and this spring, heck til school was out I was at their beckon call. Anyway I was promised the Lunch position of the person who had it if they did not come back and they did not.

This was a major part of my decision to put Emily in kindergarten, that I would be there etc.

Well the food service company changed and kept the admistrator but no longer allowed the school to do the hiring, they did it and before I could even get the paperwork to apply for the job with the new company. I had offered to volunteer until I could get the paperwork and get it back to them and went into work (for free) the first day of lunch and someone was doing my promised job.

So I have been bummed, Emily has had a few problems that I could have been there to deal with a lot faster than having the "be found" to get there and to her but at any rate.......

I found out about the PERFECT job at a local vet office today and went and applied, is just a few miles from their school, even closer to my parents and not far from my house at all. My parents are able and willing to help me get the kids to school and back and take care of them until I would get off at 5:30 and keep them on the half day Saturdays.

I WANT this job, I NEED this job, so if anyone has any good vibes to send my way, I really really NEED them and I will of coarse in return send you tons and tons of good vibes at any time you need them!

Wendy, I'll send you good vibes for the vet clinic job. But don't be bummed about not being able to work at Cody & Emily's school. I know you want to be there to watch out for them and protect them, but ... they're growing up! You can't stop it; all you can do is help them mature. A big part of that is becoming independent and secure while away from mom. It's just for a few hours a day, and not even every day of the week. They're off learning things (I'm not talking about the academic shit) that they can't learn at home with mom. These are things they'll need inevitably. The sooner the better; although there are going to be a few bumps and bruises before the training wheels are obsolete.

Now I know you're wondering what the hell I'm talking about, but you know that I know you well enough to know that you're restless and anxious about them both being away from home during the day. If they can do it (and we all know they can) then you can do it. So tough it out; you'll all adjust and everything will be for the best in the long run.

Then again, I'm semi-retarded and don't have kids so what do I know? heh

Good luck with the new job! Paul is right (even if he's half-retarded...we're not going to hold it against him LOL). It's hard now, but in the end, it's going to be the best for everyone.

Hey, I said semi-retarded... Not necessarily a whole half. I'd guess around 35% or so.

Thanks Paul and Shanti!

Sad thing is I kinda know that they will be OK its me that Im not so sure about but I think that if I can get this job at the vet office I will hopefully be so busy with a job that I know I will love that I won't have time to think about it so much.

I want to be semi tarded too lol
