I run a very small rescue at home for Leopard geckos, but I have enough space time and money to care for a few at a time so I do. It went quiet for a while after adopting out 5 geckos that i cared for, for months, and even a Ball Python that came in.

I got an email from someone who had an 8 year old gecko they wanted to get rid of, because their son didn't have the time to take care of her anymore.

I got her in, and she was really skinny. Afraid she may be extremely ill, I gave her a superworm to see if she'd go for it, and she's been eating like a champ everyday.

This was her two and a half weeks ago when I got her:

And these are a few pictures from today:

She is extremely cute and attentive. I gave her a dose of Panacur, her next is on Monday, for parasites. Other than that, she is very cute and is not very tame, but loves coming out to see if I have food or not :)

I'll update on her progress as she gains weight and hopefully gets to a much more appropriate gurth

If you wanna donate, please donate here https://www.gofundme.com/reptileresq It keeps my rescue going and helps me get extra care if needed for any of these animals c:

tumblr_nxbmoz7Zft1qjin05o1_540.jpg Just an update on her weight. Her tail doesn't seem to be getting bigger than this although i feed her every other day regularly, she hasn't missed a meal, might get some waxworms of phoenix worms to get her to gain a bit more wight and be adoptable. She had MBD, and it's getting better but she permanently has a weird walk with her back legs, but makes a very great gecko. Working on her tame-ness because she bites me a lot thinking I'm food....

Such a nice people you are! When I heard what happened to her, I was going to cry. 8 years is not a short time...and in fact, geckos are so easy to keep, they don't take you much time to care. So lucky this girl, you did a great job! :p

Didn't know if you guys wanted a final update, but I found her a nice home and she is going away in a few days to a new owner :)
Her tail is as plump as I can get it, and she always greets me for meal time, such a wonderful gecko. Got that stuck shed off of her toes already~
