I'm sorry to create a sort of silly thread, but I can't help it, I'm excited! My girl Josephine laid a single egg on Mothers day this passed Sunday, and I had strong reservations about it being fertile. I candled it after 2 days of being laid, and it was tough to see anything, though I though I MIGHT have seen a little red. Well, I waited a week, and candled my little egg again. As you may have guessed from the title, it glowed red! I'm so excited that I have a pretty good chance at hatching my first leopard gecko from Josephine's first clutch! It's incubating at 82-83 degrees, so I have another month and a half to go. The anticipation will absolutely kill me, but I'm trying to not get my hopes up too high, as I know complications are common. I don't know how one would respond to this thread, haha, so I guess it's more of a declaration of my excitement. Let it be declared: I'M EXCITED!

Cheers,
-Matt

Thanks Kelly, it's very much appreciated! And I will! Haha, I didn't think I'd be this excited to see that red glow! I'm still in the process of pulling an all nighter for finals, and this totally made being up all night worth it.

Cheers,

Thanks guys (or I guess gals, haha)! It's definitely exciting. It's always so awesome to get into new species, even if they are some of the most common in the trade! I picked up my pair about a year ago now from a show. One looks like a hypo with a bit of a carrot tail, and the other looks like a high yellow with the tinniest bit of carrot in her tail and a faint red stripe. Both are 100% het raptors (I guess that means Tremper Albino and Eclipse, lol), so I'm super excited to see what comes out. I've never bred anything not knowing what will emerge, haha. Either way though I'm hyped, I'll be jumping for a normal if I can even get that! Anywho, the wait begins really, haha. Thanks again for your kind words!

Cheers,
-Matt
