so im trying to ween one of my girl fatties off crickets, but i cant get her to take mealworms. she just refuses to eat them.
so today i tried to hand feed some to her, but i couldnt find my tweezers so i used my roommates tweezers.
she wouldnt take the mealworm from the tweezer so i tried a ckicket. just to get her in the "im eating" mode, and maybe she would realize that whats in the tweezers is food. she lunges at that crickets as soon as she sees it. she bites down and then kind of gets stuck. at first i thought it was just becuase i wasnt letting go of the cricket with my tweezers, but when i did let go and pulled the tweezers out and really looked at em i realized how sharp and pointy the ends of them are.
turns out it they were "tick tweezers", super super sharp and pointy, and i think she might have stabbed herself in the bottom of her mouth with em.
im not positive, but i think she did. lame. i hope shes ok.
i stopped trying to feed her mealworms and fed her a bunch of crickest...
