wax worms are pretty soft in comparison to mealworms. You could try putting them somewhere a little warmer to jump start them. Perhaps near a light (but not directly beneath).

If they are kept in the fridge they will appear dead. Give them 10 min to heat up to room temp and they will start moving! Only the black or dark brown ones are usually dead.

Yeah when I get mine from petsco they usually take a good 15 minutes on the feeding dish before I start to see some action out of them. I don't usually feed them because of their nutritional value but I use them as fatty treats every once and a while.
