I thought I had it figured out, but... morph check?

So when I read this thread I was thinking oh- totally a normal. But then people were saying that the gecko was definitely a jungle. So I'm confused. What is the difference between jungles and macs and normals when they aren't really striking (like most of the pictures on here are)?

And I guess what I'm really curious about is if my guys are anything interesting. Like maybe a jungle? They're ~7 years old and I got them from someone who wasn't breeding for any specific traits that I know of... but maybe he was. I have no idea. (I thumbnailed the pics since they are rather large.)

So here's Eclipse (who is not an eclipse morph... I named her that because her belly is really white and her body rather dark).

And then her brother Path

And I guess I was thinking my last girl is a Bell, but never really confirmed it. Maybe this eye-shot can give enough info to see? I got her from a bargain bin that I can only remember saying "leopard geckos" I don't know if it even said albino, much less what type. Though reading Paul's site maybe she's a Tremper, actually. I can't really tell if Zatoichi's eyes are pinkish or silverish or what.

Eclipse is at the top and Path to the right, Zatoichi is the one on the left of course. Actually- looking at this pic it would be really neat to have just two geckos- a normal and an albino- kind of a yin/yang effects or evil/good or something. Or if Eclipse was, in fact, an eclipse morph- with an all dark eye... that would be really neat, too.

Anyway, any help would be great. If my two older guys are a morph, great, if not, no biggie. Path looks more like my old girl (who was very definitely a normal- born before there even were morphs) but Eclipse seems to me to have a more scattered domino-looking pattern. Or something. I'll throw in a pic of my first gecko for kicks (since I just figured out how to do the thumbnail thing in html) :p

Eclipse is a NORMAL(reduced spotted).
Path is NORMAL(reduced spotted).
Zatoichi IMO (tremper) but not 100% on that.
Old girl deffantally NORMAL.

Ok, thanks. I wasn't sure what it was called when they had fewer spots like that. I thought it was normal, but then I got confused. Like I said, my first gecko (actually named "Leppy"- I was young... ) was definitely a WT. She was only a few generations from actually wild caught, I think... She did have a neat head-marking of a '67' though.

If I got a better eye-shot might the type of albino be clearer? Or maybe a shot of her full body pattern?

The patterns can be confusing. That's one of the things we had trouble with. There are certain standards each morph has.

What was confusing to me was this: I bred angelfish and all of the patterns are the same except a few (marbles, koi, etc). I had a hard time grasping the concept that ALL geckos are different and have their own unique color pattern.

She isnt a tremper, I am almost 95% sure. I think she looks like a super hypo to me.... but she has too much spotting. Wierd

Yeah, you can click on them to make them bigger. I did thumbnails since the original pictures were big enough you had to scroll sideways on them (which irritates me in posts, I don't know about you guys).

Zatoichi is definitely some sort of albino (although wouldn't they then have all the way red eyes and no spots... ah!) Anyway- I think she's either a Bell or a Tremper. I did pick out one of the most spotted of all the geckos the breeder had. At the time I just thought she was cute with her little X-wing shaped spots on her back and was confused why the breeder was giving me funny looks for praising how dark she is. :p I still like really spotty geckos, but at least now I understand the look.

I think I may have a gecko "type" since if you look at my old girl she was on her way to the same pattern of reduced patterning as my current normals, and Zat has the same kind of pattern going on, too. Oh well...

Normal Albino geckos don't have solid red eyes. That's what confused me too. lol. An albino has siliver eyes with red pupils and red veining in the eye. The albino gene doesn't let the black pigment show up on the body.

I still think it's a bell. :D

Maybe I'll just go with Bell, then. Gazz wasn't sure about saying Tremper and someone else is pretty sure she's a Bell. I guess the only way to be 100% sure would be to test breed, but I'm not going to do that (even if I were breeding and not just keeping pets) since she's blind for one, and I'm not sure why her tail is so short.

Thanks again!
