Its been a looooong while since I'd watched a movie in a cinema; as far as I can remember, the last time I went to the cinema was seeing "The Cave". Anyway, yesterday was Sunday, and I thought it would be nice to go see a movie with my husband. We chose a Korean horror movie (about a river monster); and it just reminded me why I didn't like going to cinemas!!
Well, the first half hour of the movie explained the reason why a river monster is created, and how it went to the shore to kill and eat a lot of people, including the main character's daughter. Some kids (I'm guessing 16-17 years old) came in half an hour late, missing all the critical parts, started laughing out loud for parts that aren't funny at all! For example, the family became very emotional when they thought their little girl died; the family members were crying and rolling on the ground; and I heard laughter... The uncle was blaming the father for accidently taking the wrong hand of another kid, leaving his own daughter behind to be taken by the monster...then I heard laughter. And so on and so on.
They noticed I was starring at them, and everytime they laughed and talked, they turned back to look at me to see how I react. All these made me lose concentration to the movie and I missed a lot of the subtitles!! Luckily, the theatre was pretty empty and these ba$tards moved seat later on.
Maybe its my bad luck, I often have bad experiences in cinemas. Once there was a really stinky man sat next to me, I almost couldn't breath for the whole time. Many years ago, a couple went into a fight with a man sitting next to them, the girl friend claim the man was purposely touching her, and so the boy friend hit the man; the movie had to stop and police came...oh, that was actually more interesting than the movie itself.:charming:
