It's a pretty little normal!!! I would call it a jungle because it's back pattern is broken very nice looking gecko congrats!

IMO, these are Aberrant High Yellows because of the intensive bright background yellow color and because the tail pattern is not broken.

I love the yellow color - will it stay like that, or should I expect it to fade?

This isn't his normal enclosure. I had him in a smaller carry case while I cleaned his home. His regular home has paper towels at the bottom. Just out of curiosity, why is the turf a bad thing? I have a chameleon as well, and it was recommended to prevent accidental ingestition of substrate. I know impaction is a concern with geckos as well (hence the paper towels as opposed to sand). Just curious...

Cutie! Agreed you'll have to wait and see. Thats the fun part of Leo's every shed is like christmas...they change so much in the first 6 months. It does look as tho this little one will get some yellow on the head and neck..I see a little coming in! Its fun making watching them grow!! Congrats on the bebe!
