I grabbed this girl at the local Petco around 3 months ago and since I've had her I've been surprised a bit at how her markings have turned out. Usually I've just had normal morphs and all those stripes turn to spots but this one's stripes and spots are both vanishing! Also it's hard to tell in the pictures but her feet seem to be darker than I've seen on many geckos, I think it's pretty cute :)

Here is the before:

technically its not a hypo it has too many black spots on its back so I would say High Yellow

Its still young and the spots are still fading so... Technically "Hypo" means reduced melanin(dark spots) which compared to a Normal, this obviously fits the bill. Less than 8 or so designates Hypo. High yellow would require the gecko to be yellow and more spots in my opinion. It looks pretty orange to me.

I guess i should say at this point its not a hypo. Babies change so it could fade. Wait and see if it looses more spots. Im usually on my nook so colors and age look different to me on here since i cant zoom in. It looked more yellow to me but im sure its probably just me lol

I say that's a Hypo, probably Super Hypo as the spots continue to fade as he ages. We'll have to wait and see.

+ 1 for Hypo.

It is not the point how many the spots are but if there are spots on the yellow backgound or not. If the spots are concentrated in bands, stripes etc. so that the yellow background is free from spots, it could be considered as a Hypo.
