I almost always see something like for example "Male #I091-01M"
next to a animals name on herp sites, what exactly is this?
Is it llike a inventory code, or clutch ID code?

Everybody has their own system.

Like on my site nest to every gecko they have an I.D#

ex.

Morph: Patternless
Sex: Male
Hatch Date: 4/2/10
I.D#: Pt-210

Now im going to break it down... Pt (morph Patternless)-2(Second to hatch out)10(year 2010)

everybody has their own way though

its how breeders identify each animal. like for instance for my records, a super snow enigma female hatched in 2009 would be SSE-F-09-1, if i added another one hatched in 09, it would be SSE-F-09-2, etc...

Breeders have their own way of IDing animals but a lot of the breeders have the same as others. I'm not exactly sure what that ID# you posted is but here is a guess. Male obviously means it's a male, I could be the letter code for the year produced, 091 could be the breeders offspring in that order. So 091 would be the 91 offspring the breeder hatched. 01M could be the clutches identification.

Thanks alot and sorry to ask so many questions. Back when I was in the army and had 32 sorted snakes this would have came in really handy.
