I've recently moved my leopard geckos, both females, (that I recently got) to a more simple setup. In the last setup, all the roaches were hiding in all the very tiny cracks in the slate and grout/great stuff, and half of the hides were attached to the tank, and those were the ones they pooped in. They're now in a plastic tub(a little less than a 20 gallon, but more floor space) with newspaper ground with 2 cool tupperware humid hides, 1 cool paper towel roll hide and two warm hides. They like it much better, and I think they feel more secure with their surroundings because the sides of the plastic tub are not see-through.

I got pictures of them, and I was wondering if someone could ID them for me, and tell if they were of good quality and if they are worth 20 dollars each?

Thanks, what does that mean if she can be considered Jungle or Stripe? Does it mean she's both, or does it mean she could be either? Sorry for the noob questions.

Yea, She's pretty close to a stripe though. It only breaks at the base of her tail but her tail is fully striped. It will really just depend who you talk to. Some people have stricter standrds as to what a certain morph should look like than others :)

One more question; if I decided to breed them in a year or so, would I be able to create good quality leopard geckos with them, and what should I breed them with? Would it be worth it?

Depends a lot on your own personal preferences. I personally like the looks of jungles, especially crossed on Mack Snows. Other people might hate that morph. All depends on what you want out of the project.

I meant as in what are my options of what I can breed them with, like what kind of morphs I will be able to get with the leopard geckos I have. I'm not sure if this makes sense or not, lol

I asked the guy about their background and he said this.

"As far as the genetic background goes. Neither gecko is het for any recessive traits. They are however from selectively bred blood lines.
The first female (http://yfrog.com/jmimg0597yvj) is from my green line. The father was a green sided red stripe produced by JMG reptile. The mother was a spotty tangerine with a banded pattern and a lot of green body coloration. She (the mother) was produced by Bright Albino and was from an Albey line Dorsal Stripe Tangerine crossed to a Neives line tangerine. The "green" is a line bred trait that is created when lavender and tangerine are displayed in the same place at the same time.

The second female (http://yfrog.com/jqimg0595ppj) is from my tangerine line. She would be considered a Super Hypo Tangerine Carrot Tail Baldy. Her father was a Gecko Genetics x JMG tangerine cross displaying an exceptional carrot tail. The mother was a nice clean tangerine female produced by Pacific Gecko. Tangerines are a line bred morph where orange body color, lack of body and head pattern and percentage of carrot tail tend to be the main focus.
"

Alright... just wanted to share that. >_______>

I think maybe if I decide to try breeding, I'll breed Lego(Jungly-stripy one) with a mack snow to try and get a Mack Snow Ghost, and try breeding Storm(SHTCTB) with a Tremper Albino to get a Hybino. That is possible, right?

Also, do you think leopard geckos are available over the winter? Probably too dangerous to ship, right?

Remember that albino is a recessive trait. By breeding your SHTCTB to a tremper, you will have 100% offspring that are Hypo het Tremper. Meaning, no, they will not be hybino. You would need to cross the F1 generation to itself to have a chance at producing hybinos.

Do your research! There are plenty of guides out there written for all the different morphs.

It doesn't seem like there are many things you can do in the first generation. I think I'll use Storm for the Mack Snow Ghost, unless I find something else I can use for her. As for Lego, I'm debating on either breeding her for jungle or stripe.

if you like tings done quickly in the first generation, then co dominant morphs are good.
the co-dom morphs are Mack Snow, Enigma, Giant. think thats all, though i feel like im missing one for some reason. :main_huh:

cuz then they are not recessive and can produce more of what they are in first gen.
